FUTO Fresh Students Acceptance Fee Payment Deadline 2018

FUTO Fresh Students Acceptance Fee Payment Deadline 2018, FUTO Acceptance Fee Payment Deadline January 26th, 2018.


Deadline for all newly admitted FUTO students has been announced. Candidates are hereby advised  to complete the payment of their Acceptance fees and registration as soon as possible.

The University management in their recent statement said that all newly admitted candidates are to accept their offer of admission and complete registration on or before January 26th, 2018.

FUTO 35th Matriculation Ceremony Date Changed/New Date

The Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO hereby informs the general public about her matriculation ceremony date which has been re-scheduled for the 2016/2017 academic session.



Meeting of Parents and Guardians of the Matriculating students [Parents Management Forum (PMF)] will hold same day by 10:00 am.

The ceremony will mark the formal admission of prospective 1st year students to pursue various academic disciplines in the University.

This event which will mark as the 35th Matriculation ceremony of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri has been rescheduled to hold on May 26, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Convocation Arena, FUTO.

FUTO Orientation Programme Date/Venue 2017

All FUTO 100Level Students are to note that from 22nd - 26th of May 2017 has been declared lecture free. This is to enable Fresh students participate in the Orientation programme for 2016 /2017 Academic year.



Students are expected to be at SOPS LECTURE THEATRE on Monday 22nd May before 9:am for the address by the Vice-Chancellor Prof FC Eze. Consequently, Students are to return to their various Orientation venues for the continuation of other activities lined up for the Orientation.

Venue2: SOPS Lecture Theatre (SEET, SOBS, SOPS & SBMS Students)

List of FUTO 2016/17 1st Semester Resumption Of Academic Activities Requirements

The genetal public anf all students of the Federal University Of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) are hereby informed that the University academic activities in continuation of the 2016/2017 Harmattan Semester will resume as follows:

Year One students of the Institution would be expected to return on Monday May 8, 2017.

Year 2&3 students would return on May 10 (i.e two days later) Also, Year Four and Five are expected to return May 15th, 2017.

Each student is to pay the sum of N12,500 being fine levied on the students for their misconduct and destruction of school properties in the violent protests that took place in February 2017
In the accreditation for entrance in the university campus before they can get entrance again into the school, each student would be also required to present an evidence of a notarized undertaking of good behavior.

It will be recalled that students of Federal University of Technology Owerri had on Friday February 17, 2017 gone on rampage to protest what they described as extortionist policies of the University management.
