BIGS-DR Scholarship Elgibilty

Entrance Requirements: According to the DAC recent list, only applicants from developing countries and emerging economies  are eligible for the scholarship. This offer is in cooperation with the DAAD EPOS program. To be eligible, you must have at least two years of relevant professional experience.

English Language Requirements: BIGS-DR is conducted in English. The following English language skills is required: IELTS certificate (band 6); TOEFL (minimum score: 550 paper-based, 213 computer-based, 80 internet-based); Other English language certificate from a language institution and University waiver that indicates the language of instruction was in English.

How to Apply for BIGS-DR Students Scholarships in Germany 2018

  • All you need to do is to submit a DAAD application form which can be downloaded here, from the DAAD home page, the German embassies, or DAAD offices worldwide.
  • A prerequisite for applying for this DAAD scholarship is having at least two years of relevant professional experience.
  • Only applicants who have not lived in Germany yet or have been a resident in Germany for less than 15 months at the time of application can apply for this DAAD scholarship.
  • When filling in the DAAD form, select “Scholarship for a postgraduate course with relevance to developing countries”.

Entrance Requirements: 
  • To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following requirements:

Only female graduates are allowed in this case, also who intend to earn a doctoral degree or habilitation at TU Dresden, and who are not working more than two years on their doctorate/habilitation and whose funding by scholarships, third-party funds etc. has ended. 

The membership at Graduate Academy is mandatory when applying for funding or has to be requested within two months’ time after funding approval.

The two years are considered to be completed latest in the month before the requested funding period begins.


Not Eligible:
  • Sideline activities during the duration of the scholarship are possible for up to 10 hours per week and must be authorized in advance by the Graduate Academy.
  • Doctoral or habilitation candidates of the faculty of medicine are not eligible.
  • Funding is not possible if you will be employed as a research assistant (for 19 hours per week) or hold an employment relationship or receive funding from another institution (such as private funding institutions, industry) during the applied period of funding.

The University of Texas at Austin (UT, UT Austin, or Texas) is a public research university and the flagship institution of the University of Texas System. University of Texas 2017 Scholarship Description

Scholarship Award: Students awarded a full-tuition AES award will receive complete coverage of the tuition and mandatory fees. AES tuition and mandatory fee funds are applied to guaranteed tuition plan amounts and supplemental designated tuition fees. Tuition and mandatory fee funds provided by AES do not apply to other required and non-mandatory fees including, but not limited to the following: Other course fees, international student fees, health insurance, fees associated with new student applications, special use fees, required testing, registration, and orientation.

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must meet following criteria:

  • First-time freshman applicants admitted to the fall semester immediately following high school graduation
  • Admitted to UT Dallas by March 1
  • Priority application deadline is January 15

Number of Scholarships: Several hundred scholarships are available.

Eligible Countries: Applicants of all nationalities are eligible for these scholarships.

Applicants for USTC fellowship A must:
  • Be non-Chinese citizenship;
  • Be not awardee of Chinese Government Scholarship;
  • Applicants for bachelor degree studies must hold a high school diploma, HSK5 and be under the age of 30;
  • Applicants for master’s degree studies must hold a bachelor’s degree (equivalent to bachelor’s degree in China) and be under the age of 35;
  • Applicants for doctoral degree studies must hold a master’s degree (equivalent to master’s degree in China) and be under the age of 40.

Applicants for USTC fellowship B must:

  • Be non-Chinese citizenship;
  • Be exchange students from USTC partner universities;
English Language Requirements: USTC offers graduate programs with Chinese or English as media of instruction.

How to Apply For University of Science and Technology Scholarship 2017/2018

Step 1: Download Application form for USTC Scholarship (right click and save the attachment)

Applicants for graduate studies are encouraged to contact prospective supervisors prior to application and send the Provisional Acceptance of International Student by USTC Professor (right click and save the attachment)to the Office of International Cooperation of USTC together with other documents.

Step 2: Online application for USTC Scholarship

The online application includes filling in the application form and uploading supporting documentations.

Create your online application ID with a valid email account and input a password of your own. You will receive a confirmation email. The reference number should be indicated at inquiries concerning your application AT ALL TIMES.

Log on your application ID and fill in all the information and upload required documents. The online application can be accessed and edited as many times as you like before the deadline of application. Your information will be automatically saved once you click “NEXT” when you finish each step.

Submit your application form by clicking “Confirm and Submit” upon completion. Note that once your application pass “file review”, your information CANNOT be changed.
You can click “Status” in the Quick Links to check your application status.

Step 3: Applicants must submit application materials to Office of International Cooperation of USTC by post mail or in person (application materials submitted by email will not be accepted). Application materials forspring semester arriving after 1,September, will not be accepted; Application materials for fall semester arriving after 30,May, will not be accepted.
