IAUE Students Re-Run Registration Notice 2017/2018

All IAUE students who failed, refused or neglected to pay their school fees for the 2016/2017 academic session have been asked to repeat the session. This was made known to us by the University Senate.

Also, they made it clear that examinations written by such affected students during the session is null and void. Also any computed results for such students are taken to be in error and should be disregarded.

IAUE Students Re-Run Registration Notice 2017/2018

Affected students are advised to pay fees and register for the current session, as repeat students of the 2016/2017 session.

By this notice, the ICT Unit is being directed to open the IAUE University Portal only for payment of fees for the 2017/2018 session.

No student should be allowed to pay fees for the 2016/2017 session.

All Deans and Heads of Department are advised to ensure strict compliance.

Please note that this is a decision of the University Senate and must be taken seriously.

IAUE ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR 2ND SEMESTER OF 2016/2017 (REVISED)

1. Lectures continue for all students –  Wednesday 20th, September 2017.
2. Students Week – Monday 2nd, October 2017- Friday 6th, October 2017.
i. Rag dag (Lectures free) –  Tuesday 3rd, October 2017.
ii. Others Activities (Lectures end by 2:00pm) – Wednesday 4th, October – Thursday 5th, October 2017.
iii. Cultural day (Lectures free) – Friday 6th, October 2017.
3. Emergency Senate meeting –  Wednesday 11th, October 2017.
4. Exams begin for 100L, 200L and 300 Level – Monday 16th, October 2017.
5. Exams begin for 400 Level –  Monday 23rd, October 2017.
6. Exams end for 100L, 200L and 300 Level –  Tuesday 31st, September 2017.

7. Exams end for 400 Level – Friday 3rd, November 2017.
8. Resumption for 2017/2018 session
i. Fresh Students (Registration Begins) –  Monday 30th, October 2017.
ii. Returning Students –  Monday 20th, October 2017.

IAUE Important Notice to Graduates Without Certificate

Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) hereby informs graduates who finished under the University of Ibadan ( NCE/B.ED) affiliation programmes and who are yet to received their original certificates are by this notice requested to come to the university with their original West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and Statements of their NCE/ B.ED results from the university.



This information is needed by IAUE Administration to process your certificates with the University of Ibadan.

Graduates of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, IAUE and University of Ibadan ( NCE/B.ED) affiliation programmes who are without Certificates should take note of this.

How to Get IAUE Certificate


As a graduate of IAUE, to get your certificate, what you need to do in order to get your certificates fully processed with the University of Ibadan. Below is the official statement released by the school authority

IAUE 8th Matriculation Ceremony 2017: 3,078 Students Admitted

Ignatius Ajuru University Of Education [IAUE] recently admitted no fewer than Three thousand , seventy eight students but only a total of one thousand, seven hundred and sixty seven students scaled through the various screening stages and satisfied all admission requirements to pursue degree programmes of the university matriculated.



Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele The Vice- Chancellor of the institution during the eight matriculation ceremony of the university asks students to make reading their hobby.

The Vice-Chancellor who pointed out that knowledge is in books and rules the world, encouraged the students to start laying the foundation to win the one million naira cash prize instituted by Senate for the overall best graduating student.

He warned that the university has a zero tolerance policy for cultism, examination malpractice, indecent dressing and other anti-social vices.

He informed them that the university has been adjudged the most peaceful campus in the south south and urged them not to allow themselves to become destructive tools to destabilize the peace and academic calendar of the university.

He also warned them not to bring heartbreaking news of rustication, expulsion, imprisonment, undue harm and unexpected death to their parents who are making sacrifices to ensure that they are educated for a better future and who expect them to return with degrees and certificates at the end of their studies.

The Vice-Chancellor who highlighted some of his humble achievements expressed gratitude to the Governor of the State, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for his people oriented policies and programmes that have earned him the name "Mr Projects" and for his developmental strides in the education sector.
He congratulated the students for choosing IAUE for their higher education and he also thanked the honourable Commissioner for Education, Professor Kaniye Ebeku for his love and interest to see that the name of the university is changed to accommodate some other programmes outside mainstream and for his intervention in a recent development that would have rocked the relative peace in the university.

Also, he commended the Chairman of the State House of Assembly Committee on Education, Dr Farah Dagogo and his team for their unreserved commitment to the development of the university.

Professor Ndimele appreciated the students who on community service beautified the campus by painting the university fence, hostels, and other places with the "Made in Ignatius Ajuru University paint", adding that the enthusiasm, zeal and excitement exhibited during the exercise clearly demonstrated that there is indeed dignity in labour and that self help efforts can be rewarding.

He acknowledged parents and guardians for their presence and prayed God to grant and favour them as they continue to shoulder the noble task of providing sound education for their children and wards despite the harsh economic realities of the time.
