FUOYE 2017 Mid-Semester Resumption Date Announced

FUOYE Mid-Semester Break ends on Sunday, 4th June, 2017

FUOYE wishes to inform all Staff and Students that the Mid-Semester Break ends on Sunday, 4th June, 2017.

Also, FUOYE lecture resumes in the various Faculties and Departments with effect from Monday, 5th June, 2017.

Federal University Oye-Ekiti Management at its meeting held on Tuesday, 30th May, 2017 directed that all teaching and non-teaching staff of the University who hitherto, stayed away from work should resume immediately.

FG Renames FUOYE After Major General Adeyinka Adebayo

The Federal Government of Nigeria wishes to inform the general public that Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, has been officially renamed after the late military governor of the old Western Region, Major General Adeyinka Adebayo.

The acting President, who delivered President Muhammadu Buhari’s oration at the funeral service, described Adebayo as an officer and a gentleman indeed, saying his “military trajectory was in a way a lesson in Nigeria’s history.”
The Acting President added that naming of Adeyinka Adebayo Federal University in Oye-Ekiti was one of the ways Nigeria would appreciate his contributions to the country and immortalise him.

This development was declared on Saturday by the acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, at the funeral service of the late General, held at All Saints Anglican Church, Iyin Ekiti.
